[Per Press Association. I DUNEDIN, Feb. 8. The Board of Conciliation met again today in connection with the seamen’s dispute, but after a lengthy consultation by the parties the Chairman stated that negotiations for settlement were still proceeding and an adjournment was made till next afternoon. WELLINGTON, Feb 8. A deputation of seamen waited on the Minister of Marine. They complained of the practice of engaging incompetent seamen, and asked that a shipping master should he appointed at each port to supervise the matter and see that the regulations were enforced. The Minister promised to lay the matter before the Cabinet. AUCKLAND, Feb. 8. At a meeting of the Auckland Trades and Labour Council, Mr W. G. E. Fraser, engineer, was elected president. The chief business of the meeting was to confer respecting the reception of Mr Ben Tillett, and it was resolved that a Reception Committee should he formed.
