LAWN TENNIS.
THE CHAMPION SHIP MEETING. [Per Press Association.] NELSON, Dec. 28. There was a good attendance at the Lawn Tennis Tournament. The weather was fme and hot. A. splendid game was played between J. M. Marshall and 11. R. Parker in the Aten’s Championship Singles. Marshall, who won, has to meet J. E. Hooper to-morrow to decide the championship. Tn the Ladies’ Singles Miss Kennedy beat Miss Mabin, and tomorrow plays Miss Nunuely for the championship. A ball will be given to the visitors tomorrow evening.
