SINKING A CARGO. STEAMER, HEAPS OF BLAZING RUINS. CAPTURING THE REBELS. [Per Press Association.! ZANZIBAR, August 27. Ehaled’s party armed a cargo steamer and fired on the British men* of-war, but the vessel was speedily sunk. The palace and the old Custom House are now a heap of blazing ruins, and the British are trying to extinguish the flames. Khaled, with his chief adherents, took refuge in the German Con* sulate. The sailors are engaged in capiur* ing the rebels. Firing is proceeding in the out-j skirts of the town, where Captain Raikess and four hundred of the Zan* zibari army remained loyaL ' Marines captured the palace. Abdul Khaled will probably be deported to India.
