The Richmond Club’s annual 25yds Handicap Race was decided in the bath on Saturday afternoon, in the presence of about one hundred and fifty members and spectators. Results First heat: J. E. The Christchurch Club held its annual quarter-mile race for the president’s prize, on the Estuary, on Saturday afternoon, and the race was one of the most successful of these events yet held. Favoured by the current C. H.. Fox managed to win, although,- had the scratch man, W. J. Stratton, been able to see his opponent the result would, perhaps, have been different. The final result was—C. H. Pox 1, D. Hardingham 2, W. J. Stratton 3, J. Eaves 4. The Club’s annual smoke concert and presentation of prizes will be held on Monday next.
