ROAD BOARDS.
MOUNT FEEL. The usual meeting of this . Board was held on Friday, March 20; present—Hon J. B. A. Acland (chairman), and Messrs G. G. Tripp and E. Thew. The manager of the Sherwood Downs Estate wrote, accepting the Board’s terms, and agreeing to rent Reserve 1859. Mr Dennistoun wrote-asking the Board to excuse his. unavoidable absence. It was resolved that the Geraldine County Council should be asked to take over the traffic bridge known as Robb’s Bridge, over the Opuha. The following letter was directed to be sent to the Titnaru Harbour Board: “ The Chairman,- Timaru Harbour Board, Sir, —Mr Robert Thew, our member on the Timaru Harbour Board, has laid certain views before us about the under-currents outside the harbour. WiD the Board kindly allow Mr Marchant, your engineer, to accompany Mr Thew outside the harbour to see his views about the under-currents and report thereon ?” Accounts amounting to ;j£lls 16a 3d were passed for payment. - "■ .
