Artilleur was quickest on his legs, but Jewel immediately ran through and showed the way down the straight and past the stand, followed by Frenchy, with the favourite - last. Jewel remained in front until half a mile from home, when Artilleur again took command, and striding on as he pleased won in a canter by a length and a half from Prenchy, who defeated Jewel by a neck. Time—2min Usee. Dividend—£7 Bs. A protest against Camel for inconsistent running was dismissed. BICCABTON TEAINING NOTES. Thursday. A beautiful morning, and work was commenced at an early hour. Impulse was sent a mile and a half fast, having Crucbfield for a companion the last mile. Colebeck and Nautilus Shell each covered one round at three-quarter pace, while Safeguard was restricted to half-pace over a similardistance. Golden Fleece strode along fast for one mile. Moutacute and Pegasus were associated for a mile and a half fast.

Vogengang beat Silver Spec in a six furlong spin. Lady Marion, Magazine and Excnlake accomplished six furlongs, and they finished in the order named. Empire did steady and half-pace work over two rounds and Minerva covered one circuit at top. Ambush and Neroli ran home fast for the last six furlongs of once round. Liberator and Cannonball were similarly exercised. Skirmisher and Solano galloped fast for the last mile of once x’ound, and _ their stable companions Wedlock and Mainstay were allotted similar tasks. Brin covered two rounds, the first steady, the second fast. Bogengang, Bimetallist, Stsrshot, Rustic and Shooting Star were associated over four furlongs after breakfast. The two last-named hung at the start, and contrary to expectation Mr Knight’s roan colt had the best of Bogengang and Starshot at the end. Prior to this Dalliance and Ferula along with King Wai galloped over a few furloxigs, Ferula being beaten off. Osmanie, Decoration and Firefly galloped fast over some three furlongs, the first mentioned being in front.
