POST AND TELEGRAPH REVENUE .

[Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Oct. 24. The Post Office revenue for the September quarter was:—-Auckland £6654, Christchurch £5937, Dunedin £5490, Wellington £8355. The total for the colony was £49,969, as against £48,623 for the corresponding quarter last year. The Telegraph revenue was: Auckland £4752, Christchurch £2BOO, Dunedin £2975, Wellington £4740. The total for the colony was £24,531, against £22,423 for September, 1894. The value of Government telegrams transmitted throughout the colony was £6310, against £6994 for the corresponding quarter last year. The money order returns for the quarter ate

The totals for the colony are:—lssued £207,947, paid £184,048, and those for the corresponding quarter last year were:— Issued £192,838, paid £170,569. The following are the Savings Banks’ returns for the September quarter

For the September quarter of 1894, the deposits were .£545,880 and the withdrawals ,£541,680, In all the postal districts, with the exception of Grey mouth, Napier and New Plymouth, the deposits exceeded the withdrawals. The postal note transactions for the September quarter and the corresponding quarter of the year 1894 werelß9s, sold 32,660, paid 32,270 5 1894, sold 29,185, paid 28,523. In each instance shillings and pence are omitted.
