SYDNEY SHEEP SALES.

[Special to Press Association.] SYDNEY, July 13. There was not one redeeming feature in to-day’s sheep sales, well-bred sheep going for a song, and, in the majority of cases, were purchased for boiling-down purposes. The sale of longwool sheep, which concluded to-day, marks a pitiable incident in the history of colonial sheep-breeding. It is not easy to gauge the cause, but undoubtedly the chief reason is owing to the dry season. Owners find it difficult to pasture their present flocks without adding to them. With few if any exceptions breeders suffered severely, and this year’s experience will probably kill the Sydney market for a long time to come. .
