[Peb Peees Association.] WELLINGTON, May 23, Regulations under the Inspection c:: Machinery Amendment Act, 1894, are gazetted, as also are regulations for tho eradication and tha prevention of tho spread of discssa among swine. Tho period for the election of Boards of Conciliation for industrial districts lias been extended until July 1. Tho Hon Gathorne Hardy is gazetted assistant private secretary to the Governor.
Mr W. G, Neill has been recognised as United States Consul at Dunedin. Messrs James Gear of Wellington and William Mudge of Wellington have resigned the Commission of the Peace.
