The entries consisted of about 3500 sheep and a few head of cattle. Business was brisk, and nearly all the sheep changed hands at satisfactory rates. A very good line o£ 600 four-tooth cross-bred wethers, many of which were fit for freezing, the balance requiring but a short time on turnips to fimah them off, brought 10a ; and crossbred lambs sold at up to 4s lOd, Cattle did not meet an active demand, WAIKAEL There was a good attendance at the special sale held at Waikari yesterday. A number of farm implements were sold at satisfactory rates, and the sixteen draught horses on account of the same owner met good competition, selling at up to JJI6. There were no sheep yarded, and only one or two cows and half a dozen pigs.
