THE ELL CASE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sie,—l do not know Mr Ell, but I Bin quite sure that a large number of yonr readers cannot help but feel great sympathy for him, if all he has stated ia true, and I have no reason to doubt his statement. The question arises, ia there no meano of securing justice for Mr Ell? I notice in tho papers that there io great rejoicing because one Jatez Balfour has been taken back to England to answer for his misdeeds. At the Glasgow Bank failure some of the directors had to suffer long terms of imprisonment, but there has beon more than one big swindle carried on ia New Zealand and the culprits have not been punished, but many innocent persona have had to suffer for the wrongdoings of others. —I am, &c., HARP OF EEIN.
