Information was received from Wellington yesterday that the owners of the Ashley Gorge ■ .Estate have accepted the offer made for their property by the Land Purchase Board, ■under the Land for Settlements Act, The property consists of 1158 acres, ', and has lately been occupied 1 by Messrs Henderson Bros. It is about two miles .and a. half from the East Oxford railway station on the rod to the Ashley Gorge, and comprises a considerable area of superior agricultural .laud. Part of if will bo cut up into am all bloeke—from 80 to 100 acres — and be offered ca lesae-in-perpetuity, and p&rfc will be let in conjunction with tha adjoining suns (Nob. 147 and 148), which contain about 4842 acres, and were until recently Isased by the executors of the lata Mr Thomas isUis»
