The New Zsabonb Pabmees’ Co-opie-ative Association of Cantebbuet, Limited, reports for the week ending Friday, March 8, as follows The grain market is fairly brisk, and buyers are operating with more confidence. Wheat is firm, and marks an advance during the week, while the quantity on offer at present prices is also very limited. Oats are moving steadily bath for export coastwise and foreign, but the quantity known to be available depresses the market. - Beans have not become quotable, and the demand for peas is very sluggish. Barley continues to offer, .freely, -and while prime malting remains steady, medium and inferior aorta are weaker and more difficult to realise. Ryegrass ia steady, with full supplies available. Cocksfoot is rapidly being dealt with, but qualify ia not coming forward up to anticipations. Oaten-sheaf chaff is in over supply. Dairy produce without quotable change. Present quotations f.0.b., Lyttelton, sacks extra -.—Wheat. —Old prime milling. Velvet or Tuscan and Hunter’s, 2s 6d ; new crop, 2* 6d per bushel. Oats.—Milling Canadians, Is 4d, is sd; short feed, Is 3d 5 Danish, la 2d to la 3d} Dubs, Is 3d. Peas.—Blue Prussians, 2s 6d. Beans, nominally 2s 3d to 2s AdRyegrass.—Farmers’ samples, 2s to 3a fid; machine-cleaned, 3a 9d to 4s. Cocksfoot.— 141 b seed, 3|d to4d j 121 b seed, 3Jd to sjd. Red clover and cowgraas, 70s to 80s. Cheese. —Now. largo and medium, 4d ; loaf, 4}d to 4sd. Batter.—Separator, 8d; best dairy, fid to 7d; salt, sdto fid. Bacon and hams; 7d. Oaten - sheaf chaff 50s, sacks'' included.
