[Special to Press Association.] LONDON, March 7. Tho death ia announced of Dr Take, editor of the Journal of Menial Science-, setat aixty-eight. The deaths are announced of General Laye, who formerly served in New Zealand, and Hyde Clark, the well-known philologist and linguist. [Hyde Clarke was born in London in 1815, and held various appointments in India and the East. In 1868 be founded tho Council of Foreign Bondholders, which he long administered. In 1848 he published, under tha title of “Economical Physics,” the cycle now known as the sunspot period. Hia writings on philology earned him wide celebrity.]
