WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.

[Pee Peess Association. I NELSON, March 1. The Wesleyan Conference resumed in ministerial session. The Rev J. T. Nott, M.A., tendered his resignation, which was accepted with expressions of goodwill and appreciation of past services. Mr Nott intends to devote hie attention to farming pursuits in the Wellington district. Ha also intends to deliver from time to time lectures on scientific subjects, a branch of study to which be has given special attention. The Rev W. Sinclair was received into full connexion after completing the usual term of probation and study. The Rev W. Riahworth was permitted to become a supernumerary for one year on account of ill-health. Tho Rev R. S. Bunn, residing in Now South Wales, was continued as a supernumerary on the same grounds. The Rev J. Crump was received into full work again. The Rev 8. Griffiths received permission to visit England. In the representative session the request of the Ashburton Circuit for division was granted. The Blackball District, West Coast, ia to be occupied aa a new station, Cheviot was made a home mission station. Otaki was constituted a circuit. The Rev W. Morlay read correspondence, and placed before the Conference a large number of documents ,in connection with the subject of Methodist Union. Discussion on this question will be taken next Tuesday. The Connoxional Secretary (Bev W. Morley) presented a very full report of his work during the past year. After discussion, Mr Morley’s reappointment was carried by tbirty-nme votes to nil.
