GAZETTE NOTICES.
[Pee Peess Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. The exportation of firearms, gunpowder, munitions of war and warlike stores from New Zealand to Samoa or the Navigator Islands is prohibited under pain of a .£3OO fine. This prohibition, however, does not apply to firearms, &c., consigned to the Samoan Government. Dr Hassai is appointed medical superintendent of the Auckland Lunatic Asylum, and Dr Levingo medical superintendent of the Sunnyside Lunatic Asylum, Christchurch.
Mr T. Kennedy Macdonald, of Wellington, is grazetted valuer under the Government Advances to Settlers Act,
