Saturday morning’s rain and the general unpromising aspect of the weather led the committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association to postpone all cricket until next Saturday. As it turned out, the afternoon would have been favourable for play, but the improvement came too late. NORTH CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The County batted first, and after making 167 for four wickets declared the innings closed. Helmore scored 65, H. Wilson 53 (not out) and| H. C. Bailey 14. The Oxford men scor ed 81, of which E. Sauley made 21, Pritchard 16, G. Eyda 14 and W. Ryde 11. The Gust and County B team met at Oust, and the game was drawn. Oust went first to the wickets and made 149, Blunden scoring 48, Higginbotham 33, Hodgson 13 and Crothers 11.
