[Special to Press Association.] LONDON, March 28. The new tariff in Canada reduces the duty on fruit by 5 per cent. The Times says that the reduction in the wool duty refers to woollen goods. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom ia 3,512,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,100,000 quarters. Share quotations—Union Steamship Company, £8; New Zealand Shipping Company, £2 10s. March 29. The Tainui’s and Nairnshire’s factory butter realised 96a to 100 s. The Nairnshire’s mutton arrived in sound condition. ~ SHIPPING. LONDON, March 29. Arrived—S.s. Nairnshire and Edendalo, barques Essex and Achievement, ship Oamaru. Messrs Henry S. Fitter and Sons’ local agents have received the following telegram from the London office, dated March 27 :—Canterbury mutton 4Jd to Sj-d, Canterbury lamb did to 64d, Wellington mutton 4£d to Sil, Wellington lamb SJd to G]d, Australian sheep SJd, Australian beef (binds) 3Jd to 3i}d, Australian beef (fores) 3d to 3-Jd.
