MARKET REPORTS.

SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND FAT. The usual sales of sheepskins, hides aad fat: took place on Saturday, and ware attended by the usual number of members of the trade. Mr E. G. Staveley (in conjunction with the National Mortgage and Agency Company of N.Z., Limited), sold at the following prices:—Best cross-breds 2a 9d to 3s 3d, medium do 2a to 2s 6d ; best marines Is 6d to Is 9d, medium do Is to Is 3d; iambs Is 9d to 2s 8d; dry crossbrods and dry merinos up to 4b 9d; rough fat per lb lid to l|d; bides and calfskins, no alteration. The tone of the market was firm, with good competition. Messrs "Wileon and Sons sold at prices as under:—Medium half-breds, 3s; medium lougwools, 2a XOd; beat merinos 2a 6d, medium do 2a 3d; lambs, 2a 9d to 2s lid; dry cross-brads, Sid to 4id per lb; rough fat, Hd to Ifd; hides and calfskins at usual prices. PIGS AND POULTEY. The pig and poultry sales on Saturday were well attended. Mr H. B. Sorensen sold 65 pigs at prices as under Heavy porkers 25s to 283, stores 13s to 19s, weaners 9s to 12a 6d and 15s, breeding sows from 43a 'to 47s 6d. There was a brisk demand for all eortl. Ha also sold 930 bead of poultry at— Heavy roosters, 2a 3d to 3s; light do Is 9d to 2a ; old hens Is 6d to 2s; young do 2s to 3s 9d; ducks 2s to 3s 3d; geese, 3s 9d to 4a 9d; turkeys, 5s to 12s. The tone of the market was very dull. Messrs Wilsons and Sons sold 235 piga at— Heavy baconers, 40a to 555; light do 36s to 40e; heavy porkers, 30s; light do, 2ls; stores, 15s 6d to 225; weaners, 7s to 10a 6d; breeding sows, 42s 6d to 60s. The tone of the market was good except for very small animals. He also sold 1080 head of poultry at—Heavy roosters, 3s to 3s 8d; light do, 2s to 2a 6d; old hens, Is 9dto2s; young do,'2a to 2s 3d; ducks, 2s 3d to 3e; geese, 4s to 4s 6d; turkeys, 6s 6d to 15s.
