NEW BRIGHTON SCHOOL.
The prizes at the Hew Brighton school were presented on Friday. During the evening the children rendered the hinderspiel “ Old Friends with New Faces,” to a large and appreciative audience. Mr Winny, Chairman of the School Committee, before presenting the prizes thanked the children for the care they had taken in getting up the evening’s entertainment, and complimented them on their successful performance. Votes of thanks were passed to the ladies who judged the sewing, to the gentlemen who gave special prizes, and to the committee and teachers.
