LINWOOD POSTMAN .
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— ln your issue of to-day’s Times there is a complaint against the postman in the Linwood borough not being punctual in the delivery of letters, &o. In defence of the letter carriers, permit mo to say that I have always found them diligent in the discharge of their duty, and until lately one man has had to do a round large enough for three. Now, I believe there are two letter carriers. Linwood is a large borough, and what wo really want is another man to assist the two who are now doing duty for this district. If those ' people who complain about their correspondence being delayed were to have a little consideration and just think that five or ten minutes to a letter-carrier means a great deal, while to us who can spend our time as we please, five or ten minutes waiting seems as nothing, I would like some of those who object to the postman because he can’t wait while they are getting their back hair suitably arranged to change places with the said letter-carrier during the Christmas holidays and see how much better they would behave. This is a season of peace and good-will among men, and surely the letter carriers are men and deserve a little consideration.—l am, &c., NO COMPLAINT.
