It is expected that the Tasmanian million loan will be floated at slightly above the minimum. Jan. 1. In reply to a question, Mr Mundella said the Government would not be able to bring in a Bill at an early date to provide for the compulsory marking of foreigp meat. A syndicate has been formed to work the Bingara diamond field in New South Wales. SYDNEY, Jan. 2. Owing to the excessively dry weather, the maize crcp in the Grafton district is partially ruined.
