[Pro Panes Association. I WELLINGTON, Dec. lit When the Premier was at Maefeerton fl deputation urged him to make an alteration in the charitable aid law which would enable localities to devote their own money to their own poor. In the case of Wairarapa, it was ptated that they paid much more to the United Board than they received. Mr Seddon expressed an opinion unfavourable to the Act, but said that the Legislature was opposed to a decrease in the size of the districts. He promised to look further into the matter.
