CHRISTCHURCH ELECTION.
TO THE EDITOE. Sie,—l must refer Mr laitt for reply to lua query to my published utterances in tho Sousa and on the platform, and to my first letter. As to the\allegation that I was tha nominee of the liquor ring. ho may not have personally made the statement, but he has sat silently by on tho platform while his colleagues have made it—a questionable silence (to put it mildly) on the part of a reverend gentleman in Mr Isibt’s position. So far as lam concerned this closes the correspondence.-—I am, &u., E. SANDPORD.
