[Per Pebss Association. ! AUCKLAND, Dae. 9. The Harbour Board has agreed to take over the dredger provided £350 ia paid to tbo Board iu lieu of dismantling and refitting her. The Victorian Public Works Department official who came over to give deliver; of the dredger, said that he waa advised b; his department not to accept the proposal for £350, which waa absurd. He would dismantle the dredge himself and give her up to the Board in the same order as she was when chartered. NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 9. A part; of surveyors has gone in from Mimi for the purpose of making R working survey of the road on to Tougaporutu, thence to Te Kuiti vii Awakino. NELSON. Dec. 9. The annual meeting of the shareholders in the Nelson Parmera’ Co-operative Association waa hold to-day, when a dividend of 7 per cent, and a bonus of 8, making together 10 per cent, were declared. It is proposed to increase the capital and extend operations. WELLINGTON, Dec. 9. Edwin Howell, journalist, who had recently arrived from Auckland, was remanded there on a warrant charging him with false pretences. A slight shook of earthquake was felt at 12.50 this afternoon. WESTPORT, Dec. 9. The coal export for the week ending today was 3814 tons. GREYMOUTH, Deo. 10. The week’s export of coal was 2143 tons. The quantity of timber exported during the week waa 25,853 ft. REEITON, Dac. 10. Owing to unfavourable weather the Dunedin. Amateur Athletic Club’a sports yesterday had to be postponed. Dr Stuart’s health continues to improve.
