——®——- [Special to Press Association.] ST PETERSBURG. Jan. 1. Russia declines to negotiate with Great Britain and China together in regard to the occupation of the Pamirs territory, but is willing to treat with them separately. The Governor of Turkestan thanked Colonel Yanoff for hia conduct in the Pamirs, and stated that he was fully satisfied with what had been done there. Two French companies have offered to connect Samarcand and Khokand by a railway with a branch line to Tashkend, the property eventually to belong to Russia. CALCUTTA, Jan, 2. The populace of the Kurran Valley have declined to admit the Ameer’s agents, declaring that they desire to remain under British protection.
