STORMS IN AUSTRALIA.
[Special to Peebs Association.] MELBOURNE, June 23. Heavy storms have been experienced in various parts of Victoria. ■ In Melbourne the wind blew at the rate of seventy-five miles an hour. A cyclone passed over Ballarat, doing considerable damage to mines and buildings. During the cyclone in Ballarat two men, named Preston and Billings, were killed by falling debris. The tide in Hobson’s Bay rose two feet, and the shipping had an anxious time but fortunately no damage was done. SYDNEY, June 23. Heavy weather has been experienced in the Albury district, and communication with Adelaide and Sydney is interrupted.
