CHEISICHUECH. Satubday, May 14. (Before H. Eyre Kenny, Esq., E.M., and K. Westenra, Eaq.) Stealing Money .—Patiiaic Dunn, alias Morgan, was charged with feloniously stealing and carrying away .£2, the moneys of one William James Hagerby, ab.Lyltelton, on Friday. Accused pleaded “Nob guilty,” Mr T. S. Weston appeared for accused and asked for a remand, which was granted till Monday next. Bail was granted, accused in £25, and two sureties of £l2 10s each. Pawnbroker’s License. Elizabeth Stev/ard applied for a Pawnbroker’s license for a shop in Lichfield street. The Police not objecting, the license was granted. MKTHVEN. Friday, May 13. (Before D. Cameron and W. Morgan, Eaqs.) Assault. —William Middleton was fined 20s and costs on a charga of assault. Disorderly Conduct. —James Butt, on a charge of disorderly conduct, was fined 5s and costs. Stray Cattle. —J. M'Crennor, B, Heer, T. Matheson, J. Anderson, P. Manion and I’. Powell were ordered to pay costs on charges of permitting cattle to wander. Lights. —E. Osborne and E. Lyne were ordered to pay costs for not having proper lights on their traction engines when on the road after sunset.
