TEAINING- NOTES. Eiccarton, Wednesday. The weather this morning was cold and dull, and the work done was not altogether of a very interesting character. Eegalia covered two rounds on the grass at Jmlf pace, and Lady Zetland went rather faster over a similar distance. May and Dielytra were each sent once round at a steady pace, and Corruption and Comrade, the gelding by Tasman, from Adulation, cantered once round on the grass. Christmas covered two miles and three-quarters at threequarter pace, and Juveno a similar distance steadily. Conjurer galloped once round at three-quarter pace, and Euphrosyne and Eeflection a similar distance, the last-named finishing fast. Quibble was sweated over three miles, and Merry Boy and Lady Sockfautn cantered. Flinders, with sweaters on, covered two rounds at a steady pace, while Launceston cantered on the grass, and Beings and Captive galloped five furlongs fast. Cruchfield was much better than Galtee in a gallop of nearly one mile and a half, while Liberator covered one round at half pace and The Dreamer two miles and threequarters strongly. Wyvem, Heather Bell, and Wakawatea each performed steady work over two rounds, and Diadem and Tassy, after cantering, galloped six furlongs fast. Magpie went once round at a steady pace; and Day Dream, looking well, accomplished similar work on. the grass. Cajolery covered rather more than a mile and a quarter steadily, and Eulnine galloped seven furlongs fast. Merrie.

England worked steadily over two miles, and three-quarters, and Clanranald finished in front of Vogengang at the end of an excellent six-furlong gallop. Boulanger and Variety, who arrived yesterday from the north, and who are looking in excellent health, cantered once round, and Boulanger went on for another round by himself. Crackshot was out, tut only walked. Tom Field, Ilium, Inez and others performed useful work after breakfast. NEW ZEALAND TROTTING ASSOCIATION. The usual monthly meeting of the New; Zealand Trotting Association was held at the Empire Hotel last night. There was a large attendance of members. Mr De la Mare occupied the chair. A large amount of correspondence was read, and’ reported as having been dealt with by the Executive Committee. The Wellington Trotting Club(Mr J. H. Pollock, Secretary), and the Johnsonville and Hutt District Trotting Club (Mr H. D. M'Kinaon, Secretary), were affiliated to the Association.
