THE VICTORIAN ELECTIONS. MELBOURNE, April 13. The nominations in connection with the general elections have closed, and the Hons Peacock, Wheeler, M'Lean and Graham, members of the Ministry, have been returned unopposed. Eight private members have been similarly returned. The nominations include thirty-two Labour candidates. Sir Graham Berry is nominated for the East Bourke constituency. Dr Rose, against whom there was such a strong feminine opposition last election, is a candidate for the North Melbourne seat. Mr Gaunson is nominated for Emerald Hill. ANGLO-INDIANS IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA'. ADELAIDE, April 13. Mr Christie, an Indian engineer, is visiting the Colony to ascertain what inducement there is for Anglo-Indian settlement. On hia return to India stops will be taken to form an Association to carry out the scheme. A local Board of Advice has been appointed to assist him.
