NEW YORK, 2. The mails are now carried from Japan to New York in thirteen days. A new cable has been laid from tho United States to Bi’azil. [Received Sept. 4, at 1,20. a.m.] LONDON, Sept. 3. The entire herd of pedigree shorthorn cattle, the property of Mr Perkin Moore, of Cumberland, has been destroyed, owing to the animals suffering from plenro-pneumonia.
