A STUPID CASE.

The lad on one occasion lately, in handing over to his mother hia fortnight’s pay of 36s kept bode 4s, an unusual thing with him. Hi* father, to punish him, hid away hi*'.' good clothes, so that, the yonth could not go out on the Sunday evening or Saturday, night. Thereupon the lad, who neither; drinks nor smokes, threatened to break open his sister’s grave and burn hi* father’s house and generally ‘'raise Coin.”' The father, who "takes a drop," then want; for a constable, who, however, feund th** young man asleep in bed at seven «x; Saturday evening. It was then, when the; lad was awoke, that the so-called assault was committed on the father, and resist* ance offered to the police.
