THE DUNEDIN HOSPITAL.
[Pee Press Association.] DUNEDIN, August 4. A full inquiry is to be held shortly into the sanitary condition of the Dunedin Hospital. Some short time ago a woman died, after an operation, from blood poisoning; and Dr Batchelor, who operated, wrote stating that the woman’s death was due to the insanitary condition of the Hospital, and asked for an inquiry. The Trustees ordered a post-mortem examination, and wrote to the Government asking for the appointment of a Commission to inquire into the truth of the allegations of Dr Batchelor. The Government have acceded to the request.
