Messrs Charles Jackson and others wrote complaining of a nuisance arising from a dam erected by Professor Brown in the Wairarapa stream. It was decided to ask Professor Brown to remove the dam. Mrs Garrick wrote, thanking the members of the Board for their resolution of condolence. From Mrs Loughnan, complaining of a nuisance at the mouth of the Ferry road sewer. 1 The Engineer stated that in future the sewer would be flushed every fortnight, which would reduce the nuisance, but as the side-channels were polluted before they emptied into the sewer, it was impossible to prevent some nuisance arising unless the side-channels were diverted, which was impracticable. The report of the Farm Committee dealing with some minor matters was read and approved. Accounts amounting to £305 19s were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned.
