Mr W. Btrss reports that there was an excellent attendance at the Eangiora market yesterday. The entry of stock at his yards comprised 3000 sheep, 100 head of cattle, and 150 pigs. There was a good demand for all classes of sheep, except old crocks; also for fat bullocks and young stock. Cross-bred freezers realised 16s 3d to 16a 6d, good butchers’ sheep 14s to 15s, fat merino wethers 8s to 8s 9d, good turnipers 13s Gd to 14s, a line of 500 two and four-tooths in low condition 9s Gd, fat lambs 7s to 10s 3d, merino ewes in lamb Bs 6d to Gs 6d, cross-bred ewes in lamb 8s Gd to 10s, fat bullocks £7 10s to £8 10s, do cows £6 to £6 ss, do heifers £4 to £6, milch cows and springers generally dull of sale, yearlings 15s to £l. Mr Buss also had alarge entry of sheep at his monthly sale at Oust on Monday,- 100 freezers fetched 16s Bd, and 100 do 15s 4d, 78 lambs 6s lOd, 55 do 5s lOd, 200 merino ewes Gs Gd ; 300 lambs sold privately at 9s, and a line of merino wethers at Bs. A largo quantity of general produce was also disposed of at full market rates.
