MARKET REPORTS.

Mr W. Btrss reports that there was an excellent attendance at the Eangiora market yesterday. The entry of stock at his yards comprised 3000 sheep, 100 head of cattle, and 150 pigs. There was a good demand for all classes of sheep, except old crocks; also for fat bullocks and young stock. Cross-bred freezers realised 16s 3d to 16a 6d, good butchers’ sheep 14s to 15s, fat merino wethers 8s to 8s 9d, good turnipers 13s Gd to 14s, a line of 500 two and four-tooths in low condition 9s Gd, fat lambs 7s to 10s 3d, merino ewes in lamb Bs 6d to Gs 6d, cross-bred ewes in lamb 8s Gd to 10s, fat bullocks £7 10s to £8 10s, do cows £6 to £6 ss, do heifers £4 to £6, milch cows and springers generally dull of sale, yearlings 15s to £l. Pigs.—Baconers 35s to 42s 6d, porkers 15s to 18s, stores 10s to 12a, small do 7s to 9s, weaneis 2s Gd to 4s. In the produce yards, cross-bred sheepskins 3s Gd to 4s Gd, merinos 2s to 3s 9d, pelts 8d to Is 3d, hides at late rates, calfskins Is, rough fat 1-Jd per lb, rendered I jd, wool in bags 6£d to 64d, flock wool 4-Jd, fowls la Gd to 2s Bd, ducks 3s lOd, geese 3s 9d, seconds wheat 2s to 2s sd, oats Is sd, do crushed Is 7d, barley Is 9d to 2s 2d, beans 2s 6d, peas 2s Bd, ryegrass seed 4a to 4s Gd, potatoes 3s Gd par sack, carrots 2s, parsnips 3s to 3s Gd, apples 3s 9d per case, meal 6s Gd, sharps 6s Gd to 7s 6d, bran 3s, flour (guaranteed quality) IGs per sack, bacon 5-gd, cheese 11-d to 4,Jd per lb, carcase pork 2|-d per lb. Mr W. Buss also reports that he held a sale at East Oxford on Saturday last, and, notwithstanding the extreme inclemency of the weather, there was a very good attendance and entry of stock; 343 cross-breda fetched 17s 9d, 101 do IGs lid, 55 do 16a Id, 120 do 15s 6d, 99 do 13s Sd, 310 do 14s, 100 do 15a, 73 small lambs Gs Gd, 242 do Bs, 202 merino ewes Gs, 300 good crossbred turnipers 13s 6d, 248 do 13s 4d, 16 first-cross lambs 9s, and 100 fat two-tootb mixed ewes and wethers IGs 3d. Mr Buss also had alarge entry of sheep at his monthly sale at Oust on Monday,- 100 freezers fetched 16s Bd, and 100 do 15s 4d, 78 lambs 6s lOd, 55 do 5s lOd, 200 merino ewes Gs Gd ; 300 lambs sold privately at 9s, and a line of merino wethers at Bs. A largo quantity of general produce was also disposed of at full market rates.
