It will surprise some tradesmen to hear that there is no longer any safety in the eyeholes loft in the shutters of shops. At Bruenn a clever thief cut a circular hole in a jeweller's shop window through the eyehole in the shutter, and with a rod and hook fished out a large quantity of valuable goods with which he decamped.
