INTERNATIONAL RIFLE MATCH.

The following are-the teams which will compete in the International Eifle Match, to be held at the Kaiapoi range on Thursday next: — Eholish— Messrs Bashford (captain). Buckley, Crofc, Fox. Howes. Manning, Pate, Parker, Tiler, Wakolinj emergencies Warner, W-olfe. Scotch —Messrs Cameron, Fraser, Gray (captain). Hunter, Hamilton, Kidd, Marshall, M'Kay, Stewart, Walker; emergencies—Anderson,Faith. Irish —Messrs Blake, Comer, Dohhs, Frew, Harman, W. S. King (captain), Havcry, Shaw, O'Shea, Colson; emergencies— (awaiting replies.) Colostal— Messrs Banks, Becker, J. 0 Josliug, A. Joaiing, Keys, 1. ester, Sanson. Sandford, Wright, Lewis ; emergencies—Pearce, Francis. The conditions of the match are: 10 men a side; ranges, 200, 300, and 500yds ; Wimbledon targets and scoring; seven shots at each distance ; one sighting-shot allowed at each range ; Snider rifles; competitors to provide their own ammunition. After the match the teams will retire to Buraip’a Kaikainui Hotel, where the winning team will be entertained at dinner by the losers. , A meeting will then be held, with a view to forming a Eifle Association for Canterbury, . and it is to be hoped that every member competing will bring a list of names of those likely to join. Conveyances will leave the Post Office, Christchurch, at 8 a.m. sharp.
