PARLIAMENT OUT OF SESSION.
[Per Press Association.] ME H. S. FISH AT DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, April 28. Mr H. S. Fish, M.H.K. for Dunedin citySouth, addressed his constituents to-night. There was a crowded meeting in the Princess' Theatre. He criticised Major Atkinson's recen* address. He laid down the following as his programme for the future,, specially explaining that it was in no way to be considered as the combined Opposition platform:—lst. Financial separation of the two islands and a proper local government; 2nd. Abolition of the Property tax; 3rd. Imposition of a progressive Land and Income tax; 4th. Eeform. of the Civil Service; sth. Eeform of the Upper House; Cth. Bond fide settlement of the people on the land of the country. The address lasted two and a-half hoursAfter a number of questions had been. answered, a vote of confidence in Mr Fish was carried unanimously. The meeting: got somewhat disorderly towards the close.
