RAILWAY TARIFF MEETING.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In your Courtenay correspondent’s reference to the West Melton meeting, a slight injustice is done to Mr M’Millan, the member for the district. He did not decline to attend the meeting, but promised to be at it. Owing to some misunderstanding, the meeting was not advertised, and ho was unaware of the date fixed. A telegram did not roach in time. Two fetters received from him were read at West Melton and Weodons. —I am, &c., CHARLES FRASER. West Melton, April 19.
