Some interesting relics of .Napoleon I. have hfeen sold by auction at Hastings. They consisted of three views of ht Helena, an occasional table made from a willow tree which grew over the grave of the,Emperor, and a mahogany chair bearing the following inscription in brass : —“ Tais chair, which was the last Najjoleon Bonaparte sat in, was at his bedside when he died, and was brought over to England by Governor Charles jDailas.” The articles were sold for jB1(3 3s, the chair realising I*ll.
