ROAD BOARDS.

The ordinary monthly meeting of this Board wm held on Monday, March 5; pre■ant—Mr Anderson (Chairman), and Messrs Atkinson, Cowen, and Buddenklau.—Correspondenoe was read:—From the Manderille and Bangiora Boad Beard, regretting iti inability to contribute anything at pretest toward the re-forming of the East Boundary road. The matter was deferred.—From Messrs Joynt and Perceval, in regard to the case of Gingavan against the Board.—From the Property Tax Commissioner, enclosing Assessment 8011, and ashing that it be open for inspection. It was deoided that it be open for inspection at the Clerk's residence. —From the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, enolosing statement of receipts and ex* Knditure.— From the Union Bank of Austra- ., Bangiora, re the signing of cheques.—The Olerk was instructed to write to the West Byreton Boad Board and ask if that Board is willing to pay half cost of making the South Boundary road (by Collier'*) 40ft wide for about 60 ohains.—lt was deoided to prepare specifications for reduoing the gradient near the Board omoe.and for widening Bichmond's road 4ft on each side.—Mr Dobion forwarded plans for repairing the Oxford road. It was decided to ask Mr Dobson to attend at the office on Monday, March 12, at 6 p.m., with a view to having the plan amended.—Accounts amounting to £2718i 4d were pasted for payment, and the Board adjourned.
