It has, already been, mentioned in these: ■ columns ‘ that the details im connection with the Easter-Volunteer Review are being syato-’ .niatically and. energetically carried out; and that, the , various attractions in connection with the Review promise to be thoroughly successful. We now re-produce the programme of the Committee, as follows .: i , Friday evening.— Arrival of Volunteers from the South. i! Saturday .morning.-r-Early parade of battalions for battalion drill. At 1 p.m.,.grand file at the Agricultural; and Pastoral Association r Show Grpimds, the including military exercises and competitions. At eight o’clock in the evening, grand concert Sin the driUshed-hy military-bands.. Sunday.—Church parade. Monday.—At noon, the Review, which takes place oh the racecourse. Monday evening, Volunteer ball in the drillshed. ; The: demonstration concert, to take , place in the Drill-shod and Grounds, oh Saturday evening, promises to be not .the .least attractive of the many events provided in connexion with the Easter Review. The Committee advertise that eight military hands will take. ;part in, the concert, including the bands of the Wellington®aval Brigade (26), Wellington City Rifles (20), Invercargill Garrison Band (24), Camara Artillery (18), Ruhedih City . Guards, (20), Dunedin- Naval Brigade (35), .Christchurch’ Yeomanry (13), and: phristchuroh Battalion Band i (18). Thia : number will' give a combined strength, of '174 instruments. The arrangements made are as follows:—The-bands will each-play,a selection of operatic or leading dance music, on a. .Band platform erected in the centre of grounds. ProfeSeor Thompson has beep instructed to. illumiijate the grounds with a powerful limelight from 7.45 until 10 p.m. There will bo; two intervals between the instrumental portions of i the programme, when some - vocal music will be given by some of our leading amateurs and visitors.
