KOWAI RIFLE CLUB.
The match •which was to have been fired on Saturday between the Amberley and Sefton contingents of this Club did not come off, owing to the inclemency of the weather preventing the majority of the Amberley team from putting in an appearance. Eather than Disappoint those who had turned up, sides were chosen by the captains of the two contingents, and a match was fired at the 200 and 400 yards ranges, five shots at each, small target at 200 yards and large at 400 yards., notwithstanding the mini" which fell very heavily at times, and the very variable wind, some good shooting was made, notably that of Cameron, who fnade 18 at ehoh range, and the two captains, who, at 200 yards, made 20
