The Chairman also suggested that it would i be desirable to have the levels of the town taken as soon as possible. Mr. Wright gave notice of motion for consideration at their next meeting respecting the contractors offer to remove the earth , from the Municipal Reserves. He said, if it was removed the reserves would let better. Mr. Ward also gave notice that the Council should vote a sum of money not exceeding .£4O, for the purchase of a safe, in which to deposit the books, &c, belonging to the municipality.
