Tho cargo of the Kadosh is not yet sold, and this has the effect of depressing prices. Besides this, the Mary Miller is ordered up from Melbourne ; and this together with th% late news from California, lately published, has induced buyers to be very cautious in their operations. Adelaide is still scarce, and first brands quotedat £25 to £28 ; Chilian, £20 to £21; Californian, £22. Wheat continues the same as last week. Adelaide, 9s 6d; Chilian and Californian Ba6dtoßs9d. Liquids.—Ale, in bulk, is firm. Bottled ale and porter hare advanced in price, in consequence of the increased duty. First brands of porter are quoted at 10s 6d to lis; ale, at 9s 6d to 10s 6d; porter, in bulk, is searce, and worth £7 to £7 6s per hhd. Brandy is dull of sale. Martell'B, 63 lOd to 7a. Bum firmer, and advanced Id per gallon; 30 0.p., 3s 3d to 3s 4d. Geneva is quoted at 10s 6d to lis for best brands of low strengths and small quantities. In teas and sugars prices are unaltered. Bice is not so firm. Old Patna has been sold at £26 per ton, and new £28 per ton. In other articles of daily consumption there is no alteration of any importance.
