GENTLEMEN, —Understanding that Mr. Rowland Davis is about shortly to retire from the position of your representative, I hasten to Announce my desire to occupy the seat when vacant. My long connection with the Tort Town and the Intimate acquaintance which exists between myself mid nearly all the electors, renders it hardly necessary to enter into a lengthened explanation of my views 011 the present occasion, but either when canvassing you personally or at the hustings I shall be happy to answer all questions.
