MESSRS. LUCK AND CLARK, AUCTIONEERS, LAND, ESTATE, AND GENERAL COMMISSION AGENTS, ARBITRATORS, ACCOUNTANTS, AND VALUERS, Beg to state that in their newly-erected Offices and Auction Room they have every convenience for effectively carrying out the several branches of their profession. Their business will include: — 1. The holding of sales, at which any sheep and cattle stations, landed estates, furniture, and general miscellaneous property placed in their hands for disposal, will be submitted to public auction. 2. The sale by private treaty of freehold and leasehold estates, of stations, stock, farm produce, &c. 3. The letting of rural and town lands and houses. 4. The purchase of estates, the selection of rural and town sections, and of the waste lands of the province for intending purchasers. 5. The Surveying and Mapping of Town and Rural Lands, and the laying out of new Townships and Villages. Particular attention will be paid in planning and subdividing Town Sections into Building Allotments. 6. The valuation of property and arbitration in all cases of dispute. 7. The management of estates and the collection of rents. Messrs. LUCK & CLARK have provided ample accommodation to receive furniture and other effects, either for sale by public auction or for storage; and have also erected a fire-proof room for the safe custody of deeds and other valuable documents connected with the business they may have in hand for their clients. THE QUARTERLY SUMMARY OF PROPERTIES TO BE DISPOSED OF. TOWN PROPERTIES. CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH. Colombo Street.—Several Building Plots to be let on lease. No. 221 A capital Plot of Land to be let on lease, containing 1 acre 17 poles, fenced in, and admirably adapted for residential occupation. If preferred, it will be let in six plots, as per plan. No. 343 Cathedral Square.—The leasehold interest in a capital corner Plot of Land, to be disposed of; 13£* years of the term are unexpired. No. 577 Hereford Street.—To be let on a long lease, a first-rate Business Site, adjoining the warehouse and offices of Messrs. Morrison, Sclanders and Co., and close to the land selected for the Bank of New Zealand. This building site, which is in the very best position now vacant in the town, has a fine frontage of 56 feet, with a depth of 100 feet, and will be let at a moderate rental. No. 505 Cashel Street.—A capital Building Plot of 66 feet frontage by a depth of 165 feet, to be let on lease, with a purchasing clause. If preferred, it will be divided into two lots. No. 536 To be let on a long lease, and at a very low rental, two plots of Land 56 feet by 150 feet, situated between Cashel street and Lichfield street, having the advantage of a roadway running through from street to street. They are admirably adapted as sites for a timber yard, or a large warehouse; and land fronting \ on Lichfield street could also be had in connexion with them if desirable. No. 262 Whateley or Papanoi Road.—A splendid corner site, with a side frontage on the Town Belt north, being part of town reserve, lot 22. No. 405 High Street.—Two capital Shops and Dwelling Houses, held on lease, of which 16 years are unexpired. They are situated in an excellent business position; the price asked for the lease is a moderate one, and the payments to be by instalments extending over 12 months. Immediate possession can be given. No. 556 Gloucester Street.—A Building Plot, 25 feet by 100 feet, with back entrance, to be let on lease. No. 409 A splendid corner Site, to be let on lease, having 50 feet frontage on Gloucester street and 100 feet frontage on Oxford terrace, with a road at the back. No. 413 A seven-roomed House, in excellent repair, situated close to Colombo street, to be let for any period not exceeding three years. This is in a good business position, and the property can very readily be altered, and used as a shop. A large shed in back yard, a side entrance, a good well, pump, &c. To be disposed of at a low price, and by payment to extend over nine months, the interest in a leasehold plot of Land having 12 years to run from January, 1863, held at aground rental of only £16 10s. per annum. The improvements comprise a Shop and two rooms, &c., well built and finished complete. Early possession will be given. No. 563 Armagh Street.—For sale, a most valuable Plot of xreehold Land, consisting of 6 quarter-acre sections, with frontages also on Chester and Barbadoes streets, securely fenced, laid down with English grasses, and planted with shrub- 1 bery and orchard. It is situated on high ground, and in a most healthy locality, and no expense has been spared to render it complete for occupation.
