TO GEORGE LUMLEY, late of High street, Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, carrying on business in co-partnership with Charles John Martin, as tobacconists, refreshment-room keepers, and general dealers. On the 26th June, 1863, an order, of which the following is a true copy, was made in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Christchurch. IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, CANTERBURY DISTRICT. IN the matter of the Debtors' and Creditors' Act, 1862, and in the matter of George Luxnley, lately of High street, Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, carrying on business in co-partner-ship with Charles John Martin, as tobacconists, refreshment-room keepers, and general dealers, at the Oriental, in High street, Christchurch, aforesaid; and in the matter of the petition of John Ward Shackleton, a creditor. In Chambers, this Twenty-sixth day of June, 1863. Upon the application of Mr. Slater, of Counsel for the said Petitioner, this Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition, doth hereby appoint Monday, the seventeenth day of August next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, for the hearing of such petition, at the Court House, Christchurch, and the Court under the circumstances set forth in the said petition, doth grant a rule absolute, calling upon the said George Lumley to appear in person before the Court in the place and at the time appointed for hearing the said petition as aforesaid. By the Court, CHRISTOPHER ALDERSON CALVERT, Registrar. Should you fail to attend the Court as herein required, you will be liable to three years' imprisonment, under section 42 of the said Act. Pursuant to the above-named act, and to an order of this honorable court made this day, notice is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named debtor are required to come in and prove their claims (by affidavit) before Christopher Alderson Calvert, Esquire, Registrar of the said Court, at the office of the said court at Christchurch, in the province of Canterbury, within one calendar month from the date hereof, or in default thereof they will be excluded from all benefit under the sequestration of the estate of the said debtor, unless the said court, on application made thereto, shall order otherwise.
