JNimuio, ORKNEY Is a beautiful bay horse, 6 years old, hands high, of excellent bone and substance, of good action, and of the purest Clydesdale blood. Orkney was got by that far-famed horse Clyde, who when a two-year-old, gained the first prize at the following places:—At Paisley, Hawston, Johnstone, and Kilbarchan, the principal breeding districts of Scotland. He also gaiued the Highland Society'B first prize at Glasgow, as a three-year-old, and also the first prize at Dumbarton, as a four-year-old, and was allowed to be the best bred Clydesdale horse in Scotland. Orkney is out of Hose, a famous black Clydesdale mare, got by Chance; she has gained several first prizes as a brood mare, at each of the shows at Gaigannock and Stirling, where her stock has never been beat, they having gained twelve first prizes, Orkney gaining two of them. THE above promising colt is a blight bay, with black points, and was got by the imported English horse Invincible, out of a thoroughly staunch and very powerful and handsome mare imported from Hobart Town to Auckland. £800 was refused for Invincible at Auckland in 1860. He will serve a limited number of mares at £5 per mare, and ss. the groom, payable on the Ist of February, 1863. As a 3-year old he won the Wynnstay Handicap at Chester, beating a large field of good horses, and became first favorite for the Two Thousand Guinea Stakes, for which he ran third to the Wizard, the best horse of his year in England. Traducer's pedigree, both by dam and sire, are from the purest blood. His sir?, The Libel, having more Herod blood in him than any horse now covering in England.
