Sections of the "Militia Act, 1858:—The Judges of the Supreme Court, Members of the Executive Council of the Colony, Members of the General Assembly, Superintenlents of Provinces, Members of Provincial Councils luring Session, Clergymen, Priests, Ministers of Religion, and Catechists. Also, all persons who ire afflicted by lunacy or unsoundness of mind, or leafriess, blindness, lameness, or by any other dis? jrder that may render them unfit for active service in any such Militia. . TOWNSHIP OF "HEATHCOTE." CHRISTCHURCH QUAY EAST. MR OLLIVIER has the honor to announce that the. atove township has been re-surveyed and laid out in larger allotments, md is now open for sale upon the following plan md terms;- — There are but fifty-seven allotments, averaging ine-quarter of an acre each, which will, on applicadon, be submitted to public auction, at the upset price of— £25 each for Frontages on the Ferry Road; £30 each for Frontages on the River; ■ From £12 to £20 each for other lots. The extent of, shipping now engaged in taking in and discharging cargo at the wharves already esta* blished on this estate, and the steady increase of population in the neighbourhood, are indications of the growing value of the property.
